
Panna Cotta with Buttermilk, Strawberries, and Black Pepper

Description
Black pepper can easily be replaced with ground cinnamon, giving the dessert a more traditional appearance and taste.
Ingredients
- Sugar 5 oz
- 10% cream 10 fl oz
- Vanilla Pod ½ piece
- Gelatin 2 pieces
- Buttermilk 5 fl oz
- Strawberry 5 oz
- Ground Black Pepper a pinch
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
In a small saucepan, combine the cream and sugar (75 g). Add the vanilla and bring to a boil, then immediately remove from heat.
Step 2
Remove the vanilla pod from the cream. Dissolve 2 sheets of gelatin in cold water, then add to the hot cream and mix thoroughly.
Step 3
Cool the cream mixture to room temperature, add the buttermilk, and stir until smooth. Pour into serving dishes and refrigerate for 2 hours.
Step 4
Meanwhile, for the sauce, slice the fresh strawberries, sprinkle with sugar (2 tablespoons), and refrigerate.
Step 5
Before serving, place the strawberries on top of the panna cotta and sprinkle with black pepper.
