Description

Recipe by John Smith, head chef of a popular American restaurant.

Ingredients

  • 3.2% Milk 5 fl oz
  • Dry yeast 0 oz
  • Chicken Egg 1 piece
  • Butter 0 oz
  • Wheat Flour 5 oz
  • Sugar 0 oz
  • Salt 0 oz
  • Baking Powder 1½ g
  • Vegetable Oil 0 fl oz
  • Bananas 15 oz
  • Caramel Syrup 5 oz
  • Powdered Sugar 0 oz

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Warm the milk (30 ml), add the yeast, and stir until completely dissolved.

Step 2

Sift the flour, then add the baking powder, salt, and sugar. Mix well.

Step 3

Pour the remaining milk into the mixing bowl, add the eggs and the milk with the yeast. Whisk until smooth. Add the melted butter (35 grams from the total amount) that is not too hot.

Step 4

Gradually add the prepared flour to the bowl, constantly mixing the mixture with a mixer. Leave the resulting dough in a warm place for 10 minutes.

Step 5

Grease a 12 cm diameter frying pan with a mixture of butter and vegetable oil. Pour 70 ml of batter into a ladle and then onto the heated frying pan. At the same time, place a larger frying pan on the stove and grease it with oil. Once the pancake is cooked on one side in the first frying pan, flip it onto the second prepared frying pan and cook until done. Make 6 pancakes (3 per serving).

Step 6

Brush the grill pan with vegetable oil and heat the pancakes until grill marks appear. Spread them with butter.

Step 7

Slice the bananas into 7 mm thick rounds. Place a sheet of brown parchment paper on a wooden board, and lay a pancake on top. Evenly spread salted caramel over the surface of the pancake, then place the banana slices on top and cover with a second pancake. Again, spread caramel on this pancake, add more banana slices, and cover with a third pancake. Spread caramel on the third pancake as well, arrange the banana slices on it, and dust them with powdered sugar. Prepare a second portion on a separate board following the same method.
