  • Honey 6 tablespoons
  • Salt ½ teaspoon
  • Ground clove ¾ teaspoon
  • Grated Ginger Root ¼ teaspoon
  • Walnuts 5 oz
  • Sugar 2 teaspoons
  • Water 1½ tablespoons
  • Concentrated Cranberry Juice ¾ cup
  • Dried cranberries with sugar 0 oz
  • Fresh Mint to taste
  • Oranges 8 pieces

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 320°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Step 2

In a large bowl, mix honey, water, allspice, salt, and ground ginger. Add the walnuts and mix well. Drain the walnuts and place them on the baking sheet, reserving the honey liquid. Sprinkle the walnuts with sugar and place in the oven for about 17 minutes, until they are golden and toasted. Let cool.

Step 3

In a saucepan, combine 0.75 cups of water, cranberry juice, and the reserved honey mixture from the walnuts. Add the dried cranberries and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer for about 20 minutes, until the syrup thickens and the cranberries soften.

Step 4

Using a sharp knife, peel the oranges, removing the skin and white pith. Slice into thin rounds. Arrange on plates, drizzle with cranberry sauce, and sprinkle with walnuts. Garnish with mint on top.
