Oranges in Lemon Syrup
Ingredients
- Oranges 6 pieces
- Lime 2 pieces
- Water 10 fl oz
- Powdered Sugar 0 oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Peel 6 small sweet oranges and place them in a container. Add 50 grams of powdered sugar and the zest of 2 limes to a pan, pour in 300 ml of water and the juice of the limes.
Step 2
Cook over low heat, stirring to dissolve the sugar, bring to a boil, and simmer for 5–7 minutes until the liquid reduces by a third. Let cool.
Step 3
Pour the syrup over the oranges, cover, and let sit for a day.
