Ingredients

  • Milk 15 fl oz
  • Butter 0 oz
  • Cake crumbs 5 oz
  • Brown Sugar 5 oz
  • Orange zest 4 tablespoons
  • Fruit Marmalade 5 oz
  • Farm fresh eggs 5 pieces
  • Honey 1 teaspoon
  • Whipped Cream to taste

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 355°F. Grease a 1.25-liter ovenproof dish with butter.

Step 2

Combine the milk and butter in a saucepan and heat over low heat until the butter melts. In a large bowl, combine the breadcrumbs, 1 tablespoon of sugar, and the orange zest. Add the milk mixture, stir, and let sit for 10 minutes.

Step 3

Lightly beat the egg yolks and add them to the milk mixture. Pour the mixture into the prepared dish and bake for 25-30 minutes.

Step 4

Combine the marmalade and honey in a saucepan and heat over low heat until softened. Drizzle over the pudding.

Step 5

In a dry bowl, beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form, then add the sugar and continue beating until the sugar dissolves. Spread the egg whites over the pudding and bake for an additional 12-15 minutes until golden brown. Serve warm with whipped cream.
