Orange Jelly
Ingredients
- Star anise 1½ teaspoons
- Water 10 fl oz
- Sugar 5 oz
- Cinnamon 1 piece
- Orange zest 3 pieces
- Orange juice concentrate 20 fl oz
- Meyer Lemon Juice 1 tablespoon
- Gelatin 0 oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
In a saucepan, bring water, sugar, cinnamon, orange zest, and star anise to a boil. Remove from heat and let cool completely. Then strain.
Step 2
In a bowl, mix 300 ml of the syrup with orange and lemon juice.
Step 3
In 75 ml of the juice mixture, add gelatin and let sit for 5 minutes. Then bring to a boil over medium heat, allowing the gelatin to dissolve. Strain and pour into the remaining juice mixture.
Step 4
Pour into molds and refrigerate until set.
Step 5
Hold the molds in hot water for a few seconds and carefully invert onto plates. Serve immediately.
