Ingredients

  • Oranges 5 pieces
  • Sugar 30 oz
  • Lemon Juice 3 teaspoons
  • Water 15 fl oz

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Thoroughly wash five medium-sized oranges and grate the zest using a fine grater.

Step 2

Then cut them into four parts, separate from the white part of the peel, and remove the seeds.

Step 3

Place the peeled pulp in a blender and blend into a puree.

Step 4

Measure the amount of puree obtained (I ended up with 500 ml) and mix it in a pot with the same amount of water, add the zest and lemon juice. Place the pot on the heat and reduce it slightly after boiling. Cook for 30 minutes.

Step 5

Then remove the pot from the heat and measure the amount of broth. Add sugar in a 1:1 ratio. In my case, I had 900 ml of broth, so I added the same amount of sugar. Put the mixture back on the heat and bring to a boil. After boiling, reduce the heat. While cooking, do not forget to stir the jam. Cook for 1 hour and 20 minutes.

Step 6

Pour the hot jam into jars and seal with lids. In total, I ended up with 2 jars of 500 ml of delicious product.
