Ingredients
- Butter 5 oz
- Brown Sugar ½ cup
- Oranges 1 piece
- Baking Powder 0 oz
- Salt a pinch
- Grated Ginger Root 1 teaspoon
- Vanilla salt to taste
- Wheat Flour ½ cup
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Zest the orange and squeeze the juice from half of the orange.
Step 2
Beat the butter with the sugar and orange zest until fluffy. Add the orange juice and the remaining ingredients. Knead the dough. The dough should be soft. Let the dough rest at room temperature for 30 minutes.
Step 3
Form balls from the dough, shape each ball into a circle, and use a fork to create any pattern (if the dough slightly sticks to your hands, dust your hands with flour to make shaping the cookies easier). Place the cookies on a baking sheet spaced apart.
Step 4
Preheat the oven to 355°F (350 degrees Fahrenheit) and bake the cookies until golden brown. The main thing is not to overbake the cookies.
