Ingredients
- Sugar ½ cup
- Farm fresh eggs 4 pieces
- Wheat Flour ¼ cup
- Liquid dark chocolate 10 oz
- Ground Almonds 5 oz
- Orange juice concentrate 6 tablespoons
- Cognac 2 tablespoons
- Orange zest 3 tablespoons
- Salt to taste
- Breadcrumbs 2 tablespoons
- Baking Powder 1 teaspoon
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 355°F.
Step 2
Grate the chilled chocolate.
Step 3
Separate the yolks from the whites and beat with half of the sugar. Gradually add the flour with baking powder, ground almonds, 115 grams of grated chocolate, and 1 tablespoon of orange zest. Pour in the orange juice and cognac.
Step 4
Whip the egg whites with a pinch of salt, gradually adding the remaining sugar. Gently fold the egg white mixture into the main mixture.
Step 5
Pour the batter into a greased baking pan dusted with breadcrumbs. Bake for about 1 hour.
Step 6
Cover the cake with melted chocolate mixed with orange zest.
