Ingredients
- Sugar 1 cup
- Butter 5 oz
- Egg white 2 pieces
- Citrus Zest Mix 1 tablespoon
- Wheat Flour 3½ cups
- Baking Powder 1 teaspoon
- Salt ½ teaspoon
- Chopped almonds 0 oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 355°F.
Step 2
Beat the sugar, butter, zest, and eggs with a mixer. Add the flour, baking powder, salt, and almonds.
Step 3
Divide the dough into two parts. Shape each into a rectangular form. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Step 4
Bake each part separately for about 20 minutes (insert a toothpick into the center; if it comes out dry, it's done). Remove from the oven and let sit for 15 minutes.
Step 5
Slice into pieces. Transfer them back to the baking sheet.
Step 6
Bake for another 15 minutes until light brown. Transfer to a plate and let cool. Bon appetit!!
