Onion Muffins with Cheese Filling
Baking and Desserts • European
Description
First, I will make a few comments about the ingredients. I used soft low-fat cottage cheese, but you can use any type you have. If it's grainy, be sure to whip it well. And for the cheese, you can experiment. It will turn out softer with cream cheese.
Ingredients
- Wheat Flour 5 oz
- 20% Sour Cream 5 oz
- Semi-soft cream cheese 5 oz
- Onion 1 piece
- Chocolate eggs 2 pieces
- Margarine 0 oz
- Baking Powder a pinch
- Cheese Spread 5 oz
- Salt to taste
- Olives stuffed with lemon 5 oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Now I will move on to the preparation, it's quite simple. Whip the cottage cheese with the sour cream, then add the eggs. I always whip the egg whites separately and then add them.
Step 2
Melt the margarine in a water bath and pour it into the mixture. By the way, you can use vegetable oil, preferably olive oil, as it will add a savory flavor.
Step 3
Next, add the flour and baking powder. I always sift the flour to make the dough airy.
Step 4
Finely chop the onion and lightly crush it with the flat side of a knife to release its juice. Grate the cheese on a fine grater. Cut the olives in half. Add everything to the dough.
Step 5
Add salt. A little bit of magical herbs, you can use either fresh or dried.
Step 6
Mix everything and pour into molds. Bake at 355°F for 25-30 minutes.
