Ingredients
- Spanish onions 20 oz
- Red Grape Juice 5 fl oz
- Chicken Broth 5 fl oz
- Sugar 0 oz
- Butter 0 oz
- Garlic 1 clove
- Thyme 1 sprig
- Salt a pinch
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Prepare all the ingredients.
Step 2
Slice the onion into thin rings.
Step 3
Place the onion in a skillet, add a pinch of salt, sugar, the clove of garlic, and the sprig of thyme.
Step 4
Pour in the wine and broth, and add the butter.
Step 5
Cover with a lid with a vent for steam and set over low heat.
Step 6
Cook for about 1 hour — the mixture should thicken and change color.
Step 7
Transfer the jam to a jar and store it in the refrigerator.
Step 8
Serve the jam with any meat and fish, as well as with omelets.
