  • Wheat Flour 10 oz
  • Butter 5 oz
  • Instant Oats 5 oz
  • Sugar 5 oz
  • Eggs 2 pieces
  • Apple 4 pieces
  • Ground Cinnamon 1 teaspoon
  • Baking Powder 1½ teaspoons

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Melt the butter and let it cool to room temperature.

Step 2

Add sugar and eggs to the butter. Whisk lightly.

Step 3

In a large bowl, sift the wheat flour with cinnamon and baking powder. Add the instant oats and mix.

Step 4

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix.

Step 5

Place the dough in the refrigerator for 1 hour.

Step 6

Wash the apples, peel them, and remove the cores. Slice the apples thinly.

Step 7

Line the baking dish with parchment paper so that the edges of the paper are 2-3 cm higher than the sides of the dish.

Step 8

Evenly distribute half of the dough across the bottom of the dish, forming edges 1 cm high.

Step 9

Layer the apple slices on top of the dough.

Step 10

Spread the remaining dough over the apples.

Step 11

Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 30-35 minutes or until done. Check for doneness with a toothpick; it should come out dry from the center of the pie.

Remove the pie from the oven. Let it cool in the dish for 10 minutes.

Step 13

Extract the pie from the dish by pulling on the edges of the parchment paper and transfer it to a board or rack.

Completely cool the pie and cut it into squares.
