  • Oats 8 cups
  • Wheat Germ ½ cup
  • Ground Flaxseed ½ cup
  • Shredded Coconut 10 oz
  • Sesame Seeds 1 cup
  • Almonds 10 oz
  • Chopped Pecans 5 oz
  • Brown Sugar 1 cup
  • Water 1½ cups
  • Canola Oil ¾ cup
  • Honey 5 tablespoons
  • Sorghum Syrup ½ cup
  • Salt 1½ teaspoons
  • Cinnamon 2 teaspoons
  • Vanilla 1 tablespoon
  • Dried Fruits 10 oz

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 150°C.

Step 2

In a large bowl, mix the oats, wheat germ, flaxseed, coconut, sesame seeds, and nuts. Stir well.

Step 3

In a large pot, combine the brown sugar, water, oil, honey, sorghum syrup, salt, cinnamon, and vanilla.

Step 4

Bring to a boil and cook until the mixture is uniform.

Step 5

Pour the syrup over the dry ingredients and stir until everything is well combined.

Step 6

Spread the mixture onto a baking sheet with high sides. Bake for 20-30 minutes, stirring occasionally. For a crunchier texture, bake for an additional 10-15 minutes.

Step 7

Cool the mixture and add the dried fruits. Store in a tightly sealed container in a cool, dry place. Granola can be stored for 6 months.
