Nut Soufflé
Ingredients
- Walnuts 5 oz
- Chicken Eggs 10 pieces
- Sugar 1 cup
- Wheat Flour 2 tablespoons
- Milk 1 cup
- Powdered Sugar to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Toast the walnuts in a dry skillet and let them cool.
Step 2
Chop the walnuts in a blender.
Step 3
Separate the egg whites from the yolks.
Step 4
Beat the yolks with sugar.
Step 5
In a bowl, combine the walnuts with the yolks and flour, gradually pour in the hot milk while stirring.
Step 6
Place on the stove and cook, stirring constantly, until thickened, about 7 minutes.
Step 7
Whip the egg whites until stiff peaks form.
Step 8
While continuing to whip, incorporate the hot nut mixture and mix thoroughly.
Step 9
Grease the molds with butter, fill them with the soufflé mixture, and place in a preheated oven at 390°F for 10 minutes. The soufflé will rise high but will fall as it cools. Optionally, dust with powdered sugar.
