
No-Cook Miso Soup

Description
Many recipe authors of Japanese cuisine overlook the principle of 'Sa-Shi-Su-Se-So' (sugar, salt, vinegar, soy sauce, and miso) — the 5 basic flavors of traditional Japanese cooking and their proper use. Don't forget about sugar! It is just as important as miso.
Ingredients
- Dashi powder 1 teaspoon
- Soy Sauce 1 teaspoon
- Sugar 1 teaspoon
- Miso Paste 1 teaspoon
- Wakame Seaweed 1 tablespoon
- Tofu 1 tablespoon
- Water 1 cup
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Chop the dried seaweed into pieces of 1–2 cm or cut with scissors.
Step 2
Cut the tofu into cubes.
Step 3
Mix all ingredients in a bowl and pour in a cup of boiling water. Stir the miso paste until fully dissolved.
Step 4
Cover with a lid and wait for 5 minutes.
Step 5
Ready!
