Napoleon Cake with Cheese Cream and Pears

Ingredients

  • Puff Pastry 10 oz
  • Danish Blue Cheese 10 oz
  • Heavy cream 10 fl oz
  • Port Wine 0 fl oz
  • Sliced Processed Cheese 10 oz
  • Pears 2 pieces
  • Ground clove to taste

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 390°F.

Step 2

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and lightly sprinkle with water.

Step 3

Roll out the puff pastry thinly on a floured surface and transfer it to the baking sheet. Prick the pastry all over with a fork. Place in the oven and bake for 12 minutes.

Step 4

Mix the two types of cheese and mash with a fork in a deep bowl. Add half of the heavy cream and port wine, and mix thoroughly until smooth.

Step 5

Wash the pears and slice them into small, thin, almost transparent pieces.

Step 6

Cut the cooled pastry into 4 parts. Spread the cheese mixture on the layers and top with slices of pear. Leave the top layer unspread.

Step 7

Sprinkle the finished cake with coarsely ground allspice.
