Mushroom Pilaf with Champignons
Ingredients
- Vegetable Oil 5 fl oz
- Turnips 2 pieces
- Parboiled and wild rice blend 10 oz
- Salt to taste
- Ground Black Pepper to taste
- Spices to taste
- Onion 3 heads
- Champignons 15 oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Rinse the rice, cover it with warm water, and let it soak while preparing the onions and carrots. Finely chop the onion and sauté until soft. Then add the grated carrots. Slice the mushrooms thinly. When the carrots are soft, add the mushrooms. Fry until the moisture evaporates.
Step 2
Drain the water from the rice, then add it to the vegetables and mushrooms, frying for 1.5 minutes, then add 1.5 liters of boiling water. Cover tightly with a lid and simmer on low heat for 12 minutes, then add spices and simmer for another 15 minutes.
