Description
Milk Soup - Zatirka
Ingredients
- Milk 15 fl oz
- Wheat Flour 1 cup
- Chicken Egg 1 piece
- Butter 0 oz
- Sugar 2 tablespoons
- Salt 1 teaspoon
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
In a dry, clean skillet, toast the flour until it is lightly golden. If the flour turns brown, it's not a problem, just don't burn it!
Step 2
Remove from heat.
Step 3
Then add the butter and egg to the flour. If the mixture is not sticking together, add 2 tablespoons of water. Mix everything and start rubbing the mass with your fingers – this is the 'zatyryvka' process. You should get lumps of various shapes. Don't make them too big, about the size of half a fingertip.
Step 4
Meanwhile, bring the milk to a boil in a pot, add salt and sugar. Pour in what you have made. Cook for 7-10 minutes. You can add vanilla essence for flavor.
Step 5
Serve the finished soup in bowls, adding a teaspoon of butter to each and enjoy. Bon appétit!
