Ingredients
- Semi-Smoked Sausage 6 pieces
- Brown Sugar 0 oz
- 10% cream 15 fl oz
- Curd 20 oz
- Sponge Cake Base 30 oz
- Strawberry 1 glass
- Black Currant Jam to taste
- Blackberry to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 355°F. Line a baking tray with parchment paper and place a rack in the upper part of the oven.
Step 2
Place the bacon on a rack horizontally. Evenly sprinkle with brown sugar. Bake for about 20 minutes, until the bacon is crispy and glazed. Remove from the oven and set aside.
Step 3
In a large bowl, using a mixer, whip the cream on medium or high speed until stiff peaks form, about 5 minutes.
Step 4
Gently fold the lemon curd into the whipped cream using a silicone spatula.
Step 5
In a dessert dish, layer the cubed sponge cake cut into 5 cm squares, followed by a spoonful of jam, berries, and whipped cream with lemon curd.
Step 6
Repeat until the final layer consists of whipped cream topped with lemon curd. Cut the candied bacon into small pieces and sprinkle it over the trifle.
