Marinated spicy peppers

Ingredients

  • Ground ancho chili pepper 6 pieces
  • 9% Vinegar 10 fl oz
  • Water 10 fl oz
  • Sugar 2 spoons
  • Garlic 2 cloves
  • Salt 1 tablespoon

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Wash the chili pepper beforehand.

Step 2

Sterilize the jars and lids for canning. To do this, hold them over steam for 5–10 minutes.

Step 3

Slice the pepper into thin rings. There's no need to remove the seeds.

Step 4

Pour water and vinegar into a saucepan, then add sugar and salt.

Step 5

Press the garlic through a garlic press and add it to the saucepan as well.

Step 6

Bring the marinade to a boil and remove from heat.

Step 7

Place the prepared peppers into sterilized jars.

Step 8

Pour the marinade over the peppers, cover with a lid, and turn the jar upside down.

Step 9

Wrap the jars with peppers in a blanket or towel and let them cool completely.

Step 10

Store the jars of pickled peppers in a cool, dark place. You can start tasting the peppers after 4 to 5 days. They can be added to burgers, pizzas, and any dishes where you want to add some heat.
