Ingredients

- Champagne Vinegar 5 fl oz
- Mild Chili Spice ½ pieces
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Wash the carrot, peel it, and cut it into slices about 3 cm thick (you can also cut it into quarters or any other way you prefer, as long as the pieces are large).
Step 2
Slice half a chili pepper into very thin rings. In a saucepan, combine water and vinegar in a 1:2 ratio, add sugar, and place it over heat.
Step 3
Add the chili pepper and stir until the sugar completely dissolves in the water and vinegar, or simply allow the liquid to simmer for a bit. After that, add the chopped carrot to the saucepan and boil for another two minutes.
Step 4
Then transfer the carrots to a jar and pour the liquid from the saucepan over them until they are fully submerged. Let it sit for at least a week.
