Ingredients
- Wheat Flour 10 oz
- Coarsely Ground Rye Flour 5 oz
- Water 10 fl oz
- Salt 1 teaspoon
- Sugar 1 teaspoon
- Malt Vinegar 2 tablespoons
- Dry yeast 1½ teaspoons
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Pour two tablespoons of boiling water over the malt.
Step 2
Dissolve the yeast, sugar, and salt in warm water and let sit in a warm place for 20 minutes.
Step 3
Add the flour to a bowl, pour in the malt and yeast, and knead the dough. Leave to rise in a warm place.
Step 4
Preheat the oven to 390°F, place the bread to bake, and check readiness with a skewer.
Step 5
Let the bread cool on a rack.
