Ingredients
- Wheat Flour 10 oz
- Butter 5 oz
- Sugar 5 oz
- Farm fresh eggs 4 pieces
- Baking Powder 1 teaspoon
- Red Currant 5 oz
- Powdered Sugar to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Whisk the eggs and sugar until pale. Add melted butter, flour, and baking powder.
Step 2
Knead until smooth dough forms. Add fresh or frozen currants. Refrigerate for 30 minutes.
Step 3
Preheat the oven to 240°C (464°F). Spoon the dough into non-stick madeleine molds.
Step 4
Reduce the oven temperature to 180°C (356°F). Bake the cookies for 20 minutes. Let cool slightly and remove from molds. Dust with powdered sugar.
