  • Shortcrust Cake Mix 5 oz
  • Sugar 1 cup
  • Light Corn Syrup 1 cup
  • Farm fresh eggs 3 pieces
  • Cream (40%) ¼ cup
  • Butter 1 tablespoon
  • Vanilla extract 1 teaspoon
  • Chopped almonds ¾ cup
  • Desiccated coconut 1 cup

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Press the pastry into a mold about 23 cm in size and spread it evenly. Place it in the freezer for 15 minutes.

Step 2

Preheat the oven to 430°F. Bake the pastry for 8–10 minutes until golden brown. Cool in the mold.

Step 3

Reduce the oven temperature to 355°F.

Step 4

In a bowl, mix together the sugar, eggs, corn syrup, cream, softened butter, and vanilla. Stir well and add the nuts and shredded coconut.

Step 5

Pour the filling onto the pastry, smooth it out, and bake for 30-40 minutes until golden. Cool.
