Light Chocolate Mousse with Vanilla
Ingredients
- Cream 10 fl oz
- Vanilla salt 2 teaspoons
- Salt ½ teaspoon
- Sugar ½ cup
- Chocolate 5 oz
- Egg white 4 pieces
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Melt the chocolate in a water bath and let it cool slightly.
Step 2
In a large bowl, whip the cream with a pinch of salt and vanilla until stiff peaks form. Place in the refrigerator while whipping the egg whites.
Step 3
In another large bowl, whip the egg whites, gradually adding sugar until stiff peaks form. Add the melted chocolate to the egg whites and gently mix until smooth, then fold in the whipped cream and mix well again. Divide the mixture into molds and refrigerate for 1 hour. Sprinkle with chocolate shavings and serve.
