Ingredients

  • Onion 4 heads
  • Lentils 1 cup
  • Farm fresh eggs 3 pieces
  • Wheat Flour 5 oz
  • Clarified Butter 3 tablespoons
  • Ocean salt to taste
  • Ground Black Pepper to taste
  • Sugar to taste
  • Toasted Cumin Seeds a pinch

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Sift the flour, add salt, clarified butter, and a little water. Roll out the dough.

Step 2

To prepare the filling, soak the lentils for 30 minutes. Slice the onions into half-rings and sauté in oil until golden, adding a small amount of sugar.

Step 3

Boil the lentils, add a pinch of cumin, salt, and pepper. Blend the lentils in a blender.

Step 4

Roll out the dough and place it in a baking dish. Next, spread the lentils on the dough, then the onions, and pour over the beaten eggs seasoned with salt. You can grate any cheese on top to taste.

Step 5

Bake in a preheated oven at 355°F for 15–20 minutes.
