Lemon Tender Pie
Ingredients
- Sour Cream 10 oz
- Butter 5 oz
- Wheat Flour 2 cups
- Sugar 1 cup
- Activated Baking Soda ½ teaspoon
- Whole egg 1 piece
- Lemon 1½ pieces
- Powdered Sugar to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Mix the sour cream with the baking soda. Add the melted butter to the sour cream and mix until smooth. Gradually start adding the flour in small portions. After adding 1.5 cups, check: if the dough sticks to your hands, add the remaining half cup. Otherwise, it's not necessary.
Step 2
Knead the dough and divide it into 2 equal parts.
Step 3
Cut the lemons into small wedges (with the peel) and blend them in a blender. Mix the ground lemon with one cup of sugar.
Step 4
Preheat the oven to 355°F. Place half of the dough as the base. Spread the dough evenly across the surface of the pan, making small edges.
Step 5
Spread the filling and evenly distribute it over the entire base.
Step 6
Crush the second part of the dough with your hands and cover the filling with it. For a golden crust, brush the pie with the beaten egg yolk. Poke the pie with a fork.
Step 7
Bake for about 30 minutes. Then cool, remove the pie from the pan, and dust with powdered sugar.
