- Sugar 5 oz
- Poppy seed paste 2 tablespoons

Beat the zest from 1 lemon and butter until fluffy, gradually adding sugar. Stir in the poppy seeds and zest, sift in the flour and cornstarch. Knead the dough, place it in a small rectangular pan, prick with a fork, and immediately cut into squares.
Step 2
Bake for 5 minutes at 375°F, then reduce to 320°F and bake for another 20 minutes.
