With these ingredients, the total calorie content of the final product (entirely) will be 860 kcal, almost all of which comes from sugar. The calorie content of 100 g of the finished product is approximately 130 kcal.

Ingredients

  • Water 5 fl oz
  • Raw cane sugar 5 oz
  • Lemon 4 pieces
  • Natural Yogurt 2 tablespoons

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

For the syrup, pour water into a saucepan, add sugar, and stir. Bring to a boil and simmer on low heat until the sugar dissolves. Set aside to cool.

Step 2

Grate the zest from one lemon using a medium grater. Squeeze the juice from all 4 lemons using a juicer (approximately 1 cup).

Step 3

When the syrup has cooled, add the juice, zest, and yogurt. Stir, pour into a container, and place in the freezer.

Step 4

Every 2–3 hours, take the sorbet out of the freezer and stir with a spoon or an immersion blender to prevent large crystals from forming.

Step 5

After a couple of times, it can already be tasted (you'll know by the consistency). Store for no more than 48 hours.
