Ingredients
- Chicken Egg 4 pieces
- Chopped almonds 2 tablespoons
- Lemon 1 piece
- Powdered Sugar ½ cup
- Poppy seed paste 1 teaspoon
- Breadcrumbs 3 tablespoons
- Brandy 2 tablespoons
- Raspberry leaves 5 oz
- Honey 1 tablespoon
- Cardamom ½ teaspoon
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease the pie dish.
Step 2
Separate the yolks from the whites. Whisk the yolks with lemon juice, zest, and sugar.
Step 3
Beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form and fold in the ground almonds, breadcrumbs, and poppy seeds.
Step 4
Combine both mixtures, pour into the dish, and bake for about 40 minutes until golden brown.
Step 5
Remove the pie from the oven and poke it with a toothpick in several places. Pour brandy on top and let it cool.
Step 6
To make the raspberry sauce, pass half of the raspberries through a sieve and mix with honey and cardamom. Cut the pie into pieces, drizzle with raspberry sauce, and garnish with raspberries.
