Lemon Ginger Cookies
Ingredients
- Butter 5 oz
- Brown Sugar 5 oz
- Egg white 1 piece
- Sour Cream 3 tablespoons
- Citrus Zest Mix 1 tablespoon
- Wheat Flour 5 oz
- Salt to taste
- Grated Ginger Root to taste
- Baking Powder a pinch
- Candied Lemon Peel to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
In a large bowl, beat the butter and sugar.
Step 2
Add the egg and sour cream.
Step 3
Mix in the salt, baking powder, and ground ginger.
Step 4
Gradually add all the flour to the liquid mixture. The result will be a soft dough that can be scooped with a spoon and placed on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Step 5
Each cookie can be topped with a couple of pieces of candied lemon peel for extra flavor.
Step 6
Bake at 355°F for 10–12 minutes.
