  • Wheat Flour 2 glasses
  • Butter 5 oz
  • Sugar 1 glass
  • Chicken Egg 6 pieces
  • Lemon ½ pieces
  • Raisins 5 oz
  • Vanillin ½ spoons
  • Candied fruits 0 oz

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Cream the butter with sugar until the mixture is fluffy and the sugar has dissolved. Then, gradually add the egg yolks in two or three additions, beating well after each addition. Next, incorporate the grated lemon zest, flour, raisins, and candied fruits, mixing everything together. Finally, gently fold in the beaten egg whites, stirring from the bottom up.

Step 2

Transfer the prepared batter into a greased pan coated with breadcrumbs or flour, and place it in the oven to bake for 30–50 minutes (depending on the thickness of the batter layer). The cake can also be baked in small molds—metal or paper—for 15–20 minutes.

Step 3

You can sprinkle powdered sugar on top of the finished cake.
