Lemon Cake
Ingredients
- Butter 10 oz
- Sour Cream 5 oz
- Activated Baking Soda ½ teaspoon
- Sugar 5 oz
- Corn Starch 0 oz
- Wheat Flour 15 oz
- Lemon 1½ pieces
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Grate the butter and add it to the sifted flour.
Step 2
Combine the baking soda, which has been neutralized with vinegar, with the sour cream and add the mixture to the flour.
Step 3
Quickly knead the dough and divide it into two parts (2/3 and 1/3).
Step 4
Place the dough in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
Step 5
Pass the lemon through a meat grinder, then add sugar.
Step 6
Roll out the larger portion of the dough and place it in a baking dish, forming the edges.
Step 7
Sprinkle with cornstarch, then add the filling. Roll out the second portion of dough and cover the pie with it.
Step 8
Bake the lemon cake in a preheated oven at 355°F for 30–40 minutes.
