Layered Quince Cake
Ingredients
- Sugar 5 oz
- Puff Pastry 15 oz
- Vanilla salt 0 oz
- Quince 5 lbs
- Powdered Sugar 2 tablespoons
- Vanillin to taste
- Oranges ½ piece
- Orange juice concentrate 5 fl oz
- Cream 15 fl oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 355°F.
Step 2
Peel the quince. Cut the flesh into small cubes and cook in orange juice with orange zest, sugar, and vanillin. Cool and puree in a blender.
Step 3
Roll out the puff pastry and bake three layers.
Step 4
Whip the cream with powdered sugar.
Step 5
Layer two of the cake layers with the quince puree. Spread the whipped cream on top of the cake. Crumble the remaining layer and sprinkle it over the whipped cream.
