Ingredients
- Puff Pastry 5 oz
- Cheese Spread 5 oz
- Chicken Egg 1 piece
- Fresh Berries to taste
- Powdered Sugar to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Prepare all the ingredients. Thaw the puff pastry at room temperature. Preheat the oven to 355°F.
Step 2
Roll the dough out thinly on a surface dusted with flour. Cut the dough into two equal halves.
Step 3
Spread the chocolate spread over one half.
Step 4
Cover with the second half of the dough.
Step 5
Cut the resulting sandwich into strips 3–4 cm wide.
Step 6
Gather the strips in an accordion style, tapering towards the top.
Step 7
Thread the strips of dough onto skewers.
Step 8
Place the trees on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and brush them with beaten egg.
Step 9
Bake in the oven for 15–20 minutes or until golden brown.
Step 10
Serve the trees at the festive table, decorating the tops with berries and dusting with powdered sugar.
