Ingredients
- Armenian Lavash 3 pieces
- Kefir 0 qt
- Sugar 3 tablespoons
- Butter 5 oz
- Adyghe cheese 20 oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Grease a baking dish with butter, then place a sheet of lavash on top, allowing the edges to hang over.
Step 2
Tear the lavash into small pieces and dip them in kefir mixed with sugar, then layer these pieces in the dish. Layer half of the lavash this way.
Step 3
Spread half of the Adyghe cheese, grated on a coarse grater, over the lavash, and distribute 40 grams of butter in small pieces on top of the cheese.
Step 4
Again layer lavash dipped in kefir, cheese, and butter on top. Fold the edges of the lavash that hang over the dish inward, then cover with a piece of lavash cut to fit the shape.
Step 5
Brush with egg and place in a preheated oven at 355°F. Bake for about an hour until slightly browned.
