Lamb Soup with Lentils
Ingredients
- Lentils 5 oz
- Rack of Lamb 20 oz
- Salad Potatoes 3 pieces
- Celery salt 2 pieces
- Parsley 1 bunch
- Mild Chili Spice 1 piece
- Garlic 3 cloves
- Bay leaf 1 piece
- Tomato Puree 1 tablespoon
- Salt to taste
- Vegetable Oil 3 tablespoons
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Wash and peel the vegetables. Cut the potatoes into large pieces, slice the celery diagonally into 2 cm wide pieces, and halve the chili pepper. Peel and crush the garlic. Chop the herbs.
Step 2
Heat the oil in a pot. Sauté the ribs for 4 minutes. Add the potatoes, celery, chili, and garlic. Cook over medium heat for 5 minutes. Pour in 1 liter of water, increase the heat, and bring the soup to a boil. Cook for 7 minutes.
Step 3
Add the lentils and bay leaf. Cook for 15 minutes. Add the parsley, cover with a lid. Remove from heat and let the soup steep for 20 minutes.
