Ingredients

  • Kefir to taste
  • Wheat Flour to taste
  • Chicken Egg 1 piece
  • Sugar 4 tablespoons
  • Salt a pinch
  • Vegetable Oil to taste
  • Dry yeast 0 oz

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

In a deep bowl, pour in the flour (the amount of flour and kefir depends on how much you want to make).

Step 2

Make a 'nest' in the center of the flour and add the egg, sugar, salt, and yeast. Mix well.

Step 3

Add kefir or milk.

Step 4

Mix everything together until you achieve a dough with a consistency similar to thick cotton.

Step 5

Cover the bowl and place it in a warm place. Wait for the dough to rise. I usually wait about 2 hours.

Step 6

When the dough has risen, pour oil into a deep pot and heat it on maximum heat.

Step 7

Roll out the dough and cut it into not very large pieces, not too thick.

Step 8

When the pot with oil is sufficiently heated, place the lakhums in it and fry on each side until cooked (golden color). Do this with all the dough.

Step 9

Serve with sour cream and cheese, or honey.
