Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
In a saucepan, melt the butter, let it cool slightly, and then whisk it together with the powdered sugar until it becomes fluffy.
Step 2
Add the egg and vanilla to the mixture and beat well. Incorporate the honey and mix thoroughly.
Step 3
Combine the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and zest, then add to the mixture. Knead until a firm dough forms that doesn't crumble or stick to your hands.
Step 4
Shape the cookies as shown in the photo: divide the dough into equal parts, roll each part into a log, and braid them together. Brush the surface with a mixture of water and egg yolk (1 yolk with 10 ml of water). Bake at 340°F for 20 minutes.
