Step 1

Roll out the dough on a smooth surface dusted with sugar into a rectangle measuring 40 by 25 cm. Spread soft butter on the dough and sprinkle with sugar, then fold into thirds from the long sides. Sprinkle with sugar and roll out into the same thickness again, repeating the process. Cut the resulting rectangular layer into 12 squares.

Step 2

Prepare a baking tray with 12 cups, greasing them with butter and dusting with sugar.

Step 3

Place a square in each cup, aligning the centers of the sides.

Step 4

Bake for 20 minutes in a preheated oven at 355°F.
