Ingredients
- Rice 6 tablespoons
- Butter 0 oz
- Saffron ½ teaspoon
- Cardamom ½ teaspoon
- Milk 6 cups
- Sugar 6 tablespoons
- Chopped almonds 0 oz
- Pistachios 0 oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Rinse the rice under running water until the water runs completely clear.
Step 2
Heat the butter in a pan and add the rice, saffron, and ground cardamom. Sauté, stirring, for about 2 minutes. Add the milk and cook, stirring, until the amount of milk reduces by half and the rice becomes soft, about 1 hour and 20 minutes. Add the sugar, crushed almonds, and half of the crushed pistachios. Cook until the sugar dissolves.
Step 3
Transfer to a serving dish, garnish with pistachios, and serve.
