Ingredients
- Rice ½ cup
- Milk 5 cups
- Sugar 8 tablespoons
- Cardamom 4 pieces
- Nuts to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Rinse the rice well. Place it in a pot with 2.5 cups of milk. Bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and cook for 15–20 minutes until the rice is soft.
Step 2
Mash the rice with a spoon, then add the remaining milk.
Step 3
Add sugar and cardamom.
Step 4
Cook on low heat until the rice reaches a thick porridge consistency. Stir constantly to prevent burning.
Step 5
If it becomes too thick, add a little more milk or water.
Step 6
Add the nuts and remove the cardamom.
