Ingredients

  • Kefir 1 cup
  • Activated Baking Soda 1 teaspoon
  • Salt ½ teaspoon
  • Sugar ½ teaspoon
  • Wheat Flour to taste
  • Cottage cheese 15 oz
  • Garlic 2 cloves
  • Cheese Spread to taste

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

In a bowl, combine kefir with sugar, salt, and baking soda, which has been neutralized with vinegar, and mix well.

Step 2

Add flour to the kefir until a soft dough forms, and knead it.

Step 3

Shape the dough into a ball, cover it with plastic wrap or a bowl, and let it rest for 30 minutes.

Step 4

Then, divide the dough into 4 parts and roll out thin flatbreads.

Step 5

For the filling, season the cottage cheese with salt, add grated cheese and crushed garlic, and mix everything together. Place the filling in the center of the flatbreads and pinch the edges together like pies. Flatten them slightly.

Step 6

Cook on a dry skillet with a thick bottom over medium heat for about 7–10 minutes on each side until golden brown.
