Description

For this recipe, yellow kumquat is best - slightly moist, not overly candied, and tangy. There is an option for the recipe - to add chopped kumquat directly into the liquid batter and then pour it into the mold. After baking, cool the cake and cut it into squares.

Ingredients

  • Kefir 5 fl oz
  • Margarine 5 oz
  • Chicken Egg 1 piece
  • Sugar 2 teaspoons
  • Salt a pinch
  • Wheat Flour 5 oz
  • Baking Powder 1 teaspoon
  • Vanillin ½ teaspoon
  • Kumquat 5 oz
  • Oat flakes 5 tablespoons
  • Lemon to taste
  • Chicory 1 teaspoon

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 390°F.

Step 2

Beat the egg with sugar, salt, and softened margarine.

Step 3

Add kefir.

Step 4

Sift the flour, add vanillin and baking powder. Mix with the egg mixture.

Step 5

Add oat flakes and chicory. Achieve a uniform, thick batter.

Step 6

Grease the baking dish with oil, pour in the batter, and smooth it out.

Step 7

Step 8

Cut a slice of lemon into segments (with the peel) - 5-6 pieces and distribute evenly over the kumquat.

Step 9

Bake for 35 minutes.
