Juicy Charlotte with Glaze
Ingredients
- Chicken Egg 4 pieces
- Sugar 1 cup
- Apple 4 pieces
- Activated Baking Soda 5 teaspoons
- Vinegar essence to taste
- Wheat Flour to taste
- Butter 5 oz
- Olive Oil to taste
- Salt a pinch
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
In a deep bowl, crack 4 chicken eggs. Whisk well with 1 cup of sugar (be careful not to overdo it — remember the glaze).
Step 2
Gradually add flour until the mixture reaches a sour cream-like consistency, extinguish the baking soda with vinegar and pour it into the batter, add a pinch of salt.
Step 3
Grease a baking dish with olive oil. Place some apple slices to cover the bottom, pour in some of the batter, then layer the remaining apples and batter. Cut some butter into pieces and distribute it on top of the future charlotte.
Step 4
Prepare the glaze. Melt the remaining butter and mix it with 4 tablespoons of sugar. Evenly distribute this over the batter.
Step 5
Preheat the oven to 355°F, place the dish inside and bake until golden brown (about 40 minutes). Turn off the oven and let the charlotte sit inside for about 10 minutes. Remove it.
