Ingredients

  • Couscous 5 oz
  • Honey 5 tablespoons
  • Semi-soft cream cheese 10 oz
  • Butter 0 oz
  • Chicken Egg 1 piece
  • Pistachios 0 oz
  • Meyer Lemon Juice 1 teaspoon
  • Ground Cinnamon ¼ teaspoon
  • Salt to taste
  • Boiling water 10 fl oz

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Pour boiling water over the couscous and let it sit for 30 minutes.

Step 2

Pass the cottage cheese through a sieve and mix it with 2 tablespoons of honey.

Step 3

Combine the couscous with the melted butter, beaten egg, and salt.

Step 4

Grease the molds with butter. Fill halfway with couscous, spread the cottage cheese mixture, and cover again with couscous. Smooth it out and bake for 15 minutes at 390°F.

Step 5

Finely chop the pistachios.

Step 6

In the remaining honey, add cinnamon and a little water. Bring to a boil and cook for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in the lemon juice.

Step 7

Sprinkle the finished kodafa with pistachios and drizzle with honey syrup.
