Italian Sugar Cookies
Ingredients
- Margarine 5 oz
- Wheat Flour 10 oz
- Sugar 2 tablespoons
- Light Beer 0 fl oz
- Brown Sugar to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Cut the butter or margarine into small pieces, mix with sifted flour, and rub with your hands until crumbly.
Step 2
Add sugar, pour in beer or room temperature mineral water, and quickly knead the dough.
Step 3
Form it into a ball, transfer to a bowl, cover with plastic wrap, and refrigerate for one hour. Remove the chilled dough, divide it into two parts, and then each half into twelve pieces.
Step 4
Roll small balls, then roll each into a stick about ten centimeters long, and form a ring. Roll in sugar, place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, and put in the oven.
Step 5
Bake at 355°F for about 15–20 minutes. The cookies should be slightly golden.
