Iris with Peanuts and Chocolate
Ingredients
- Butter 15 oz
- Sugar 2 cups
- Salt ¼ teaspoon
- Peanut Sprouts 30 oz
- 70% Dark Chocolate 10 oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Grease a heatproof dish with butter.
Step 2
Melt the butter and add sugar and salt, stirring constantly until the mixture is smooth and golden in color. Heat to 300°F, which will take about 15-20 minutes.
Step 3
Immediately add 4 cups of whole nuts and carefully transfer the mixture to the dish, leveling it off and letting it sit for 1 minute. Then quickly sprinkle with chopped chocolate and let it sit until the chocolate melts, about 4-5 minutes, level it off, and sprinkle with the remaining chopped nuts. Place in the freezer for 30 minutes and break into pieces.
