Description

Individual Napoleons with Apples and Whipped Cream

Ingredients

  • Ground Cinnamon ½ teaspoon
  • Sugar 6 tablespoons
  • Wheat Flour to taste
  • Puff Pastry 10 oz
  • Butter 2 tablespoons
  • Green Apples 4 pieces
  • Sweet Cream Butter 2 cups

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 390°F.

Step 2

In a small bowl, mix the cinnamon and sugar.

Step 3

On a floured surface, roll out the pastry and sprinkle with 2 tablespoons of the sugar mixture, then gently roll it out. Cut into 7 cm squares. Place on a lined baking sheet, cover with another sheet of parchment paper, and refrigerate for 15 minutes.

Step 4

Bake in the oven for about 30 minutes until cooked and golden brown. Remove the top parchment paper and transfer the squares on the second parchment to a wire rack to cool.

Step 5

Meanwhile, melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Peel and core the apples, then slice them thinly. Add to the saucepan and cook, stirring, for 7 minutes. Add the remaining sugar mixture and cook until the apples are completely soft. Let cool.

Step 6

On half of the squares, place whipped cream and apples, cover with the remaining squares, and decorate again with cream and apples. Serve immediately.
